Nikki has a knack of being able to pull back the layers of self doubt and stories you’ve made up about yourself and finding the truth of ‘you’. Taking Nikki’s YTT program was one of the most life changing experiences for me, and many of the lessons I learned were not just about yoga, but about myself as well. Nikki’s passion for anatomy and understanding its alignment and functions is contagious. There is passion and love in the way Nikki teaches you to teach yoga, and through all the various programs I’ve been involved in since, I have rarely seen this repeated. There are tears, laughter and curiosity sprinkled into every session. I came out of my training with a thirst to teach and provide unique sequences to my classes. I highly recommend Nikki’s program if you’re ready to take your relationship with yoga to the next level!

Nikki’s teacher training was thorough. She’s a very experienced and effective teacher. There were about 10 of us in my YTT course, one of whom traveled from Germany to take Nikki’s class. She gave us all a workbook at the beginning of the course, which now serves as great reference material as well. There were also some great visual aids.

Nikki created a wonderfully warm, comfortable environment for all of us to learn and to get to know one another. As we went through the course, she engaged each one of us, encouraging each student to work with all the other students. This has served me well in understanding how to teach to different types of learners. In addition to teaching the details about each Asana, we learned how to assist students in doing them.

Nikki touched on a lot of different subjects. Though our focus was Vinyasa Yoga, we learned about the other styles of yoga, and were required to participate in a few different types of classes to understand more deeply what’s involved in each type.  It was a great start for me to increase the breadth of my yoga knowledge. We also spent some shared time learning about the history and “genealogy” of yoga. That was fascinating.

By the end of the course, each of us taught all of the others a mini yoga lesson.  We were all very comfortable with one another. We had a great shared experience. I remain friends with a number of them. I recommend her training class highly! Enjoy!

200 YTT with Nikki was one of the best decisions I had ever made. Nikki is a joyful and passionate teacher who creates space for students to grow. You will learn every aspect of a well-rounded yoga class from her program, starting from the great variety of oral instructions to the sequence and the “curve” of the class. Nikki is also the best hand-assist yoga teacher I have ever met. She incorporates breath cues and provides many magical hand-assist options that creates space in the body and enhance the line of energy in a pose. With good knowledge of the functional anatomy and the 8 limbs of yoga, all the students in the program will be well-equipped and ready to rock and roll.
